I’d like to see a solution to this:

1948 B2: “A penny in a corner.” A circle moves so that it is continually in contact with all three coordinate planes of an ordinary rectangular system. Find the locus of the center of the circle.

World War II Putnam Problem

A coast artillery gun can fire at any angle of elevation between 0^\circ and 90^\circ in a fixed vertical plane. If air resistance is neglected and the muzzle velocity is constant(=v_0), determine the set H of points in the plane and above the horizontal which can be hit.
